1967 ss/rs fender badges

Hello all, new to the forum. I am currently restoring/working on two 67 camaros. One is a early 3rd week of september 1966 SS/RS 350 car. The other is a L78 "K" code SS 396. I am going to be needing alot of help with some of the fine details. First the SS 350, The owner is a good friend of mine and is the second owner, he aquired this car in 1974. The car is mostly numbers matching. The block, heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, all the main case pieces of the muncie etc. The only pieces not matching are the starter, and distributor. Car is currently at body shop being repainted in factory ermine white. My main question is did ALL SS 350 receive the cross flags/350 under the camaro script on front fenders? Fenders appear to be original to the car and according to current owner they were never changes as long as he has owned it. His fenders do not have any holes plugged or filled where the cross flag/350 emblems would go. We are trying to restore this car back to original configuration, I have not been able to find any info on this topic. Thank you for adding me, hope to hear some good info!! Ryan

Some very early production cars did not have the emblems. There are photos out there of probably the first dealer 427 conversion, done by Nickey on an early production '67 Camaro SS. Does not have the emblems.

Would like to hear more about your cars and add them to the CRG database if possible. You can send me a PM or email if you want to share the specific information (body tag and Drivetrain stamps). We use this for research and reference. Always good to have data from early cars.

Thats what  I was hoping to hear...The car is number 7L102925. So that makes it number 2925 off the line then right? I have no problem with sharing the cowl tag or stamps, is there any risk of posting them public, if not I will post them. The K car is a interesting piece as well, it is a L78 car with no options. We have the proteco-plate on this one. Radio delete, m21, 4.11 rear, no console, no power steering or brakes. After researching the protecto plate, on a whim we started researching the original owners name, ended up finding him living in the same city. Got in contact with him and talked to him, turns out he bought the car just for drag racing. He told us he never registered the car just raced it, and said he pulled the L78 out after three months and installed a crate L88, then immediately blew the transmission up. He dosent remember what he did with the original motor, I was hoping he knew of its whereabouts!
