Asking for a friend who is not on the forum. He has a 67 which is modified, and with winter in full swing, has some restoration projects he would like to do on this car. The question is--can the front inner fenders be removed without removing outer sheetmetal? He has looked through the GM service manual and also Fisher Body manual ( which doesn't cover any of the front sheetmetal) and it is not clear enough. He is actually wanting to powder coat the inner fenders with a matte black finish. He thinks it would hold up better and also match most other pieces he has already powder coated up front. The paint work on the entire car is very good, and this is the reason he would like to avoid removing the front end if possible. If not possible, it appears he will go that route. Anyone ever attempted this and what were the results?
