The 1967 model year saw three different owners manuals.
PN 3901026, First Edition, July, 1966
PN 3901026, Second Edition, November, 1966
PN3929232, Third Edition, April 1967
I think that the big problem with the first edition was on page 35. The tire usage and recommended tire inflation pressures lists 1 to 5 passengers.
On Valentines Day of 1967, GM execs with their hair on fire issued a technical bulletin and began correcting glove box tire pressure stickers and issuing directives to dealers to remove any back seat center seat belts that may have been installed by dealers. The Second Edition was born.
The second edition wasn't much different. The number of passengers issue was cleaned up and Chevrolet correct a picture of the distributor on page 45 of the first edition that was described as a V-8 but that was actually a picture of a six cylinder engine. Also on page 17 of the first edition the brake warning light was called a parking brake alarm indicator light. I guess calling it an alarm was a bit severe and that was cleaned up in the second edition.
The third edition was mostly impacted by the edition of the 396 engines and the Turbo Hydra-Matic. Pages 40, 47 and 48 reflect the changes. Procedures to push start the car were also eliminated on page 7.
There is still no mention of the Z/28 in the third edition. Anybody know what was tossed in the a 67 Z/28 glove box?
