That is Detroit, they are in Canada!
The lower door jamb is painted a darker color, unique seats ...

There is a photo of this car in Lamm's book 'The Great Camaro', pg36.  The caption states the seat inserts are rattan!   8)

Just found this great picture showing the rear of the Camaro Waikiki and the trailer.  I'm not sure where this was taken.  Notice how much wider those rear taillights were.  It's too bad this shot isn't in color because if it was we could possibly see the unique green or amber color of the illuminated taillights.  "Among the Waikiki's many eye-catching features are...extended rear lamps that are green when the driver's foot is on the gas pedal, amber when he takes it off and red when he applies the brake."  I assume since nobody was pushing down on the gas they were amber??

It was posted at the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars Facebook site: https://www.facebook.com/groups/334308821546204

I found the second image of an actual vintage version of the photo on worthpoint.

Great pictures, never had seen that view before, I always liked this car. I have the book “great camaro” that I bought in the 80’s when I was a teenager and because of this car in that book I own a 67 camaro convertible and a jet ski.

What a great story!  It's amazing what can influence you when you are young.
