Date code for distributor

Never looked at the distributor on my 03E Z11.  It has a 1112002 Date code 9J19 (Sep 19 1969?).  I think 1112002 decodes to a '70 Camaro/Chevelle, etc. In any case, the distributor is not correct. From what I read here, I need a 1111489 for my L48 300hp 350.

My trim tag is 03E and my engine code is T0409HB (April), the trans is Y9C03D (Mar), and the rear is BL 0402G2 (april).  NCRS shows an official production date of 4/14/1969.

What date code distributor should I try to locate?

From memory (please confirm), but a 489 distributor sounds correct. You'll want a distributor dated before Apr. 9th. That is the assembly date of your engine and they can't build an engine with parts from the future. I'd think any 489 built the last couple weeks of Mar./first few days of April would line up correctly.
