« on: June 15, 2018, 06:02:37 PM »
Nice car.. Any info on it in the DB? Cowl tag rivets look like they have been removed? Pad stamp ALL over the road up/down/sideways.  :o  Looks like it was done one letter/digit at a time? Danny

Usually don't jump in on these, but yea, I agree. Pad stamp does look odd. MO stamp looks nothing like
mine.

Pad stamps in this time frame can be difficult to evaluate. If you are a serious buyer, get the full report (from the seller) that Jerry M. did on the car.  And ask why the certificate has a tear in it.

Stamped 2 days prior to mine - and it does look like it has a different font compared to mine as well on some of the characters both alpha and numeric..  I didn't see a casting date for the block mentioned anywhere - did I miss it?

Like I said, it can be difficult to evaluate the stampings in this time period. Especially when all you have is a photo.

The car had a personal onsite inspection by an expert, and it was deemed ok.

I met the man who owns the car a few years ago and recently talked to him about painting a COPO and in the discussion he mentioned this one as well.
FWIW He is usually at the Chicago show in November.
IIRC he has a nice LS5 Chevelle Conv, a 69 L78 Camaro vert, and an original black 65 Fuelie Roadster.
