Can anyone recommend a facility in Southern New Jersey or Philadelphia area that can rebuild the a/c compressor on my 69?

Don't know about your area, but the Corvette guys like Classic Auto Air in Tampa, Florida for A-6 compressor rebuilds; be sure and specify the GM ceramic shaft seal, not the cheapie aftermarket carbon seal.

If you just need the seal replaced, find and old mechanic that has been a GM dealership for a few decades. I replaced a bunch of those ceramic seals. If you have the tools it is not difficult and has about a 95% success rate.
