Trim tag replaced?  Looks like there are some hollow spaces under the current one to the top right where another may have been mounted. 
This at least looks like a nice car. Optioned out real nice sans the floor gauges.   He is asking 59.9k, it went for 48.7k at Mecum's.  I had said 40 before, but I could see 48 for this car.  Last ebay auction stopped at 34k and has failed a sale twice there.

What do the members of CRG think this car is worth and what do you think it will it be worth in 10 years provided its kept up?   The guy never said it was a # matching car and may not even be a BB car.

First blush, seems ok to me. Repro booster, wrong master, missing pb cable brackets; cable is rubbing the LR tire. Also missing the super-rare BB A/C lower fan shroud. Should not have a spare tire cover. Appears to have incorrect 15" wheels. Cheap muffler-shop exhaust. Trim tag looks ok and correlates to the VIN.

It's been restored so anything is possible. They get style points for not putting Z/28 stripes on it.

What hurts it is color and A/C. White isn't a good re-sale color; A/C not that desirable in muscle cars. No one know knows where anything will be in 10 years.

It does not mention any docs that I see. Probably part of Muscle Car Docs lost vins. I agree that the color just does not really provide any wow factor. Your number might be more in line.

It's funny that you guys pick out the color. I was thinking that too. After two white cars, I don't want another one.

Also, as stated, no mention of drivetrain numbers. Which leads me to believe that it's not NOM. Which is odd for a vehicle with only 62k miles on it. Which, unfortunately, makes me question everything else about the car.

So, if it's not NOM, then you're only buying a trim tag attached to a nice restoration and a collection of parts. The NOM collectors will pass. The shade tree mechanics wont spend the money. Leaving the less-informed to buy it. It is a nice resto though, and the trim tag looks legit, so I'm thinking $40-50k, with a sell price of $45k. It's future value is tough. If it sits in a glass bubble, it should go up in value. If it's driven, I'm thinking it's value will remain basically the same. I'm curious as to what others think.

That's a rare piece. There was a guy a few years ago that was making a small run of those. I was probably lucky to get one....Joe

I'm starting to look at the value of these "undocumented" cars as simply either a 6 cyl or 8 cyl base plus the value of the rest of the goodies  that  were added on.  This car is is not a 396 RS/SS until documentation proves it is.  I already found a website that allows the creation of window stickers and everything else you need to create a fake Camaro.   The Haggerty valuation tool has the real car about 60k as this guy is asking, but is it real?  Hmm. I have no proof either way.

also, why is it so hard for these restorers to align the CID emblems on the fenders? The driver's fender appears low on this one.
