68Z vacuum advance?
« on: April 02, 2017, 10:29:43 PM »
my 467 distributor has been refurbished, it had a 452-10 advance on it, but there is a 400-15 in the misc. parts that came with car, ive been reading everything but not sure which is correct or why the 452-10 was put on if the 400-15 is supposed to be?

Thank you kurt. Is there a way to check if the 400 is working properly? If it isn't is there anyone that can rebuild mine or is it junk at that point?

Find someone with a distributor machine like a Sun machine. Install everything and run it up with vacuum applied and see if it  gives 15 degrees.

Or at the very least, just apply suction to it and confirm that the rod pulls in and holds until suction is released.  That will let you determine if it is functioning or not.
