He lived 15 minutes from me and did not know he passed as we were out of town. Jere was an extremely intelligent person and I was lucky to spend time with him as he helped me a lot with early header designs for the 67/68 Z/28. He was not one to normally review racing from the past and wanted to talk about today and tomorrow (forward thinking).

Next week is our yearly York US30 Nostalgic show that he always attends and they had planned a roasting. Now a memorial!

Sad to see another Pioneer pass. Spoke with him on the phone a couple of years ago, seemed like a very nice man.

68 Z/28  born with: 302, drive line, etc..
