302's for sure - mine still have traces of blue paint on them. I know my '9's are original, got a set of them with the '68 MO motor for my '8, identical location of the blue stripe. Discontinued for a good while -

Wonder if they go back to other solid lifter SB's or even L79's and other HP Vette motors ? Have to dig -

Steve

I think that the blue stripe pushrods were designed for the heads that had the screw in studs and the hardened guide plates (starting with the 1970 Z28 350ci engine and the 1970 LT1 Corvette 350ci engine).  The blue end of the pushrod was hardened to match up with the hardened guide plate....that would keep the pushrod from wearing out where they rubbed together.  The blue paint was added to the hardened end to signify the end that pointed toward the rocker arms.  The blue stripe pushrods could be used in any SBC application.

Wayyy back in March of 1973 I bought a set of 3796243 Push rods (blue stripes) for the price of $19.20 from a Chevrolet Car dealer
named JP Charbonneau on Ste Catherine E.  in Montreal . . .  Put 'em in a 337ci small block with 2  6224 Holleys in a beautiful l'il Anglia.
Time flies, eh gennemen??
