I thought about the information I was requesting by looking at other like parts I had laying around. What James said makes sense. That would also be true for the bracket that holds the transmission lines. I found one of those brackets that had no paint on the back side. I also noticed that I had to remove the lines to take that pan bolt out. Tonawanda would've known this engine would have an automatic behind by the "CJG" code. It would've had to be installed by the engine plant otherwise it may've also had a different bolt & the unknown line worker might've over tightened causing a pan leak. The transmission lines would've later been installed in that clip, closed & tab bent to lock.
The wire loom separator probably had no paint as it was on chrome covers.
Does all this sound logical?
Thank you, Joe
