My VIN
« on: July 30, 2015, 12:56:18 PM »
Hello Kurt, I am a new member to this site and I would like to add , is and has been very helpful . thank you.

I found this documentation list. I have a 69 camaro 396 Ss/rs that we purchased from NH about 6weeks ago but has no documentation and I didn't find my vin in you list. Is there a updated list ?  My VIN is 124379N616287.

The tag under the hood has x22 on it. Supposedly we are the 3rd owners. It doesn't have the original engine. It has a 454 from a 70 Monte Carlo (I'm told) a TH350 and 10 bolt rear. I really don't think I will ever be able to find the original block . we're told it was restored in 95 and was painted in tuxedo black the original was green (code 72?) . it would be great if we could find documentation papers and any help you could offer would be awesome..

I would be forever greatful , Frank C.  thank you kurt

Hey Newbie,
I know someone will reply, might as well be me. Paint code 72 is Hugger Orange, the best color as you will read on the site.
But, the real reason to reply is that you need to know that you are not to post on this thread. Go to first post and you can read up. Maybe moderator can move or delete these 2 posts? Again, Please! Do NOT post to this thread. Start a new thread in one of the provided headings. Thanks, CRG.

If it's not on the list, then you are out of luck, like 99% of us. ;)

Frank, found a few pics of your car. Would like better pics of back end of car, engine compartment, and close up of trim tag. Initial thoughts, based on numbers and what I see, the tag is real and aligns with the VIN#...unfortunately, it looks by the pics that the tag may be the only evidence left on the car that it is a SS. ;) Paint code 79 is in fact, Rallye Green (nice color BTW), and 713 is black Houndstooth dlxe int. 2nd week of March 69 Norwood car, as you may have discovered on your own.
