when in the build months of the 68 camaro did the rear spoiler become an option?

It was available all along as far as I know...you just checked D80 on the order sheet...

3916633 gm part number for rear spoilers in 68? Anybody have pics of orig underside and numbers stamp. Looking to find out how to tell if orig part.

There seems to be more than one number for the '68 spoiler. I guess maybe more than one supplier, like many other parts??. I talked to a researcher online about my number, and he says he has seen many original factory installed spoilers with this #. Maybe someone else can chime in... Here is the stamp picture... Danny

This looks to be a molded number.
Is this typical of the original parts regardless of the manufacture? Most I'm seeing is stamped numbers.
