Guys this is not the case at all. This is simply someone buying a car to restore and getting burned. He purchased the car out of Utah as an undocumented L-48 SS early 68 van Nuys. He stripped the body for media blasting, purchased a ton of OEM parts.  Unfortunetly the news came back as not good on the body and that he should consider doing a re-body.  I believe this became financially overwhelming and the fact that he doesn't seem to be to mechanically inclined. There property is also coming up for sale so instead of packing all these parts he would just cut his losses.
Very nice couple in Maple Falls WA. Previous long time small business owners in a small community with heavy roots.

Sounds good enough to me. You actually met them in person, so you would have the best say on the matter.

I am more interested in the actual parts that were available, since there wasn't a list per say.

You had the time, and you have the room to store all of them, so sounds like you were the right guy to purchase them.

Were you able to get him to negotiate on the price any?

Showing up with cash in hand along with a truck and trailer always helps ;)

Gentleman maybe I'm missing something here.... we went from a guy selling parts to a car stripper?
No, two different stories. Gary was writing about a different seller he didn't buy from.

Kurt, Gary was referring to Kevin's comment about this stash of parts that I started this thread about. Unless I missed something.Gary what say you?

Yes, I was not making an accusation, was just pointing out that it is something to make sure of before you buy. But the visit ended on a positive note, so all is good.
