If the owner tells us his car has original drivetrain and is missing the original 12 bolt rear end..... then it's not original drivetrain car. The rear end is part of the drivetrain right?

You are right. I forgot about the statement about the rear end being replaced. I wonder if the rear gear is just replaced or if the entire rear end was replaced? If I had time I would go check this car out, but just a little too far and not a serious buyer.

Car is relisted on e bay, owner said "bidder that tripped his reserve cancelled the bid". Look at the bidding, I'd guess some shill bidding is going on, not uncommon on ebay.

I love Dusk over Dark Blue... I missed a project which was equipped very similarly a few years ago, someone on the boards here bought it.

If it was quartered correctly 40k is a fair price for a nice combo, I agree it was probably raced given the 4.88's and extra U bolts on the axle plates.

Biggest thing I see is about the interior is the reproduction door panels.

The Alternator is probably wrong, if the distributor and carb are right BONUS!
