I have the Parnelli Jones but but have not read it yet. Still reading David Tom's new book. The T/A section is not very big in Parnelli's book.

A long time in the works but a new Trans-Am book is due to be coming out this fall. I'm looking forward to it.

Nice!!!  I had just about given up on it.  Every time I get an email from David Bull I hope it is for this book.

Mine was a gift and I got the standard edition.  No doubt I will miss the extra content of the publisher's edition.  Good for you for stepping up.

Yea, I know off topic. Chuck Cantwell has written a book on Trans-Am racing with Greg Kolasa. My copy just came today, can't wait to start reading it. Chuck was an engineer for Shelby in the early years, then later Penske for the '69 season, Indy and Can-Am. He was there, saw it all, and many of the ground breaking ideas were his.

Thanks, Doug. I have heard good things about Chuck's new book and the new book about Kar-Kraft is supposed to be a good one also.

I hope to meet Dan Lipetz this Saturday at our local British Columbia HMR event at the Mission
Raceway Road Course.  He is supposed to bring a copy of his book.

On a sad note I just learned that Dave Bean, of Dave Bean Engineering has recently passed.  Dave was
well known for his Lotus parts business and I believe he is the same Dave Bean who worked with the
Jerry Titus TG Firebird T/A program in 69/70.

That is very sad, it would have been very interesting to have a chance to talk with him about the old-days.
