Be careful what you wish for - this might be the work of the 17 year old Russian hacker that ebombed Target - I heard he really likes '67 and '68 Camaros.

If it's not a L78 Pacer I can't see it bringing much less being worth 100k.
IMHO the white and blue is a great combo however, there are many people who really do not care for it which reduces the available buyer pool.
L78 is a different case altogether and makes a huge difference because of how few L78's were made (>11k firstgens) & L78 verts were but a fraction of that.
If you want a L78 conv and a pacer comes up, you probably buy it in spite it's being a pacer, where as if looking for a L35 conv you probably pass right by the pacer if you aren't specifically looking for it.

The economy is keeping the market soft in some ways but interest remains strong for the 1st gen Camaro
they also have a second life in the restomod world with some of these selling over $100K

I have always liked the bright blue bumblebee/interior and white combo of the 67 pacer. The bright blue along with the brighter Ermine white always looked much cleaner, more subtle, and thus more in line with the open wheeled racing set to me.

How many 67 L78 pacers are known?
Charlies actual pace car and did Tom have one?

Not sure how many are known.  I knew of one that was in Scottsville, KY but it was sold and no idea where it went.  Originally a small block car but was built as a BB.  Cant remember if it was made to be an L35 or 78 though.  There is also another one that was in middle TN but not sure if its still around..

I know this forum is dedicated to the pacers of all years but not sure if they are keeping data.

I personally love the blue topped pacers..

No such thing.  They only made 8 69 T/A convertibles, 4 autos, 4 manuals, and all were equipped with white tops.  They did have blue interiors and blue convertible top boots, but no blue convertible tops.  There was 4 blue vinyl roofed coupes, and 2 black vinyl topped coupes out of the 697 total.

I seriously doubt the blue topped 67 Pace cars were factory cars built for the indianapolis 500 like the white topped ones with the various FSO numbers.  No doubt there were a few there, but they were just white convertibles with a black nose stripe and were most likely something drawn from local dealer stock and delivered to the track to have a few more camaros on hand.
