The repaint looks great.  Did you make the paint stencil or is it available for somewhere for purchase?

Thanks

No, it's an original PF-29 that I repainted to be like they came from the factory so what you see there is the real deal, just made to look the part from the factory.

Good friend made me the stencil.
To all, there is no picture of a Wix painted but yes I have done a couple for my personal cars. But again, what I showed is original. I have also purchased original later version PF-25's (blue) to have available for our cars only.

Here is the Wix equivalent of a PF-25 repainted. Will go on our Nova we plan to drive. Also note something else, that being the later 70's original PF-25's seem to have the top lip not painted as this example yet early one's and PF-29's seem to have paint on that lip. Just a side note.

Beautiful work ,you are quite the artist. Forgot Napa put their name on Wix ,what I use on my daily drivers. Even my Zero turn. And you are correct, Wix is a very popular brand around here at the strip via the local engine builders--why I mentioned it. As far as Napa ,my Dad was just telling me he always ran their HD cap/rotor and points with no issues in the Z , and recommend it seeing as I'm going back to the OE distributer. Probably still listed.

Jano that might have been the case as recent as 6 or 7 years ago. I remember being able to get brand new (not remanufactured) delco starters, and alternators from napa. They had the nicest parts by far. You paid a bit more, but you didn't have to numerous trips back to the store to return junk parts. Unfortunately Napa is just as bad as Auto Zone, and O'Riely (shucks kragen, checkers), if not worse. they are more pricey but now you are getting all the made in china stuff, so the quality has gone off a cliff. It seems like it happened right about the time they started sponsering Toyota in nascar and major motor events, go figure....

All I am saying is do your homework, they may list the part number but I would almost bet the part is of much lessor quality than what your dad was getting from them.

if you want better filtration use a PF-35L which has a synthetic media that has finer pores.

Heck!, Chick's middle name is Homework!
I truly believe when his 68 Z28 is completed, he may be able duplicate the 68 Camaro AIM, only with date breaks, physical part/fastener variation and high res color photos.  ;D

Nice stencil job. I wouldn't mind having some of those for my street cars. I think Delco still sells the old red & blue logo AC PF25 or 35 for a premium.
