Production month brackets
«
on:

I'm curious what would be considered early, midyear and late months for a production run? After reading many articles and seeing these terms used often, I can't help but wonder what the months would be.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Mike

Well I would say these are generalities. IMO any 69 that was built prior to February or March I would describe as early, just for the fact of still using the shorter spoiler. I would say April through July or beginning of August would be midyear based on the the gas tank dating changing in mid August, (and if there would have been a start to the 70 it would have started then) So late month cars would be the middle of August to the end of early November.

Depends on the topic.
Carb usage - just means there were three time periods.
68 Z28 - normally 302 vs Z28 emblems
etc....

Hi Kurt,
Good point. Recently I seen it when referring to carb usage so that is one I'd be curious about.
I was thinking along the lines of taking a production period and dividing by 3 but as you pointed out it likely depends on the subject item.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Mike
