Was the 293 B-R coil used in 67?
« on: September 30, 2013, 06:14:04 AM »
I have read conflicting (and sometimes vague) reports on what a 293  B-R Coil would be used on.  I have 2 of these complete with Bracket and Condenser, I'm sure one of them came off of my original (11 A built) 327  2 Bbl. set-up.  I'm now using a JACOBS Hi-Energy coil with my 4 Bbl. Holley/"610" Intake set-up, but I am wondering if those 293 B-R Coils are correct for the original set-up.   Thanks!

I believe the standard coil for 1967 V8 models was 267; 293 was used in '68 and '69 V8 applications (unless you had something fancy like a ZL-2 hood).
