Color of Heater Motor
« on: September 09, 2013, 11:13:04 PM »
Does anyone know the correct finish of the fan heater motor (for a '68 BB)? Was this painted at the same time as the heater box cover and thus received the same gloss finish? The only thing I found was this post (http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=4843.0) which unfortunately did not have any responses.

Thanks,

Bob

The blower motor (Delco) and the front cover (Harrison) were manufactured and painted separately.

If I'm not mistaken, the blower motor housing was more glossy than the heater shroud, but I'm not sure if it was 100% gloss or not, as mine is 44 yrs old... :)

I just finished restoring my AC-heater box and just cleaned up the blower motor. Original paint was pretty nice so I left it alone. Not a total gloss now but it is 45 years old. Couple of photos. George
