Hammered for $69,500.

It was at Scottsdale 2013, disclosed as a repro tag. Reported hammer price there was $100,000.
Learning more and more about less and less...

real Z28 but a repro 10-10 trim tag.  Body work is also rough.

$69,500 and I heard the trim tag disclaimer at the end. I couldn't believe it went for that knowing it wasn't an original tag car - it must have some other documentation, or is the general public that trusting ? Aren't a lot of 10 10 Z's recreated cars under any circumstances ? Sheese - I can't wait to get my Z's crossram installed, along with a JL8 rear, factory headers that were installed when I bought it, and the 1969 era factory GPS I bought at a swap meet and send it to Scottsdale. Air conditioner, too.

Commentator also mentioned it was a GM crossram - I half way expected him to say it came in the trunk. At least he said it wasn't a JL8 car -

Steve

Tiffany was rolling her eyes cause I was talking to myself and arguing with the commentators on tv about the car..  lol

If there is Charley they never said or showed anything definitely confirming it was..

Jerry, Im guessing you have inspected the car previously?  That is the problem with watching this on tv (for me) you dont get to see all the details of a car.

DT is original to the car.  I checked it out at BJ in Scottsdale earlier this year.  Someone did a color change and this car was in the Bob Howard collection.  I don't know him.

Buyer in Scottsdale had buyer's remorse and didn't hear about the trim tag when they announced it in the original auction.  BJ did state that when it went on the block.

I assume "buyer's remorse" is that warm feeling that comes over you and then ask yourself "what the heck did I just do"?
Guess the lights, cameras, drinks and the fleeting moment of feeling like the main focal point when bidding wears off rather quickly after signing.  ;)

Big money for a repo trim tag apparently undocumented car. I would say Barrett-Jackson did quite well getting that kind of money.
