« on: May 15, 2013, 06:09:49 PM »
How does a person identify Original GM Camaro DOORS(67-68 or 69) from 'reproduction' doors?? Is there a 'production' number stamped on Original Camaro DOORS??  Email:  mandm4boys@verizon.net

The thread you started over at Team Camaro confirmed that original GM doors had a sheetmetal date stamp behind the interior door panel, but I guess that would not apply to NOS doors, only assembly-line doors that were installed on cars at the time of assembly.

Not necessarily. The pair of 67 NOS fenders I have are stamped.

That's good to know Scott. Are they stamped in the same format?

Here is something else to look for....
The door skin front section that folds over the door edge...does that have the extended square flange in the center like an original door?
Replacement skins I have seen do not have that so I can only assume a repro door doesn't have it either.
