Trunk / Quarter drop off panel plugs

I replaced the drop off panels in my 69 and the new panels don't have a hole for the drain plug. I can't find the original plug for the hole size. Can anyone tell my what size hole that is. This is behind the tire NOT in wheel well. Also I think my plug was rubber and the reproductions are plastic. If you know what is correct let me know. George

I went to measure mine for you, but even with the garage lights on there was not enough light to see it under the car. I will measure it when I get a chance and the light is better. Mine did not have the plugs in so I could not tell you if was rubber or plastic. You are talking about the ones behind the rear tires on the inside of the qtr with the little drip hole below the round hole, and not the one in the inner wheel well cover correct?

A fat 5/8" rubber is what my old ones measure George. Take into account they have been out of the car and stored for about a year so they might be 3/4" and shrunk to 5/8". I measured these with a tape but I can put a caliper on it if you want me to.

Hi George,

  I was in the garage tonight so I took a picture of a 67 quarter drain hole. I *think* they are the same as 69(?)  
Below are 3 pictures of my original drop panel (they are galvanized under the primer). I took most of the hole measurements with a digital caliper.
The plug is rubber (for 67 anyways). The notch is actually square but the seam sealer is in the way.

Mike, Can't thank you enough for taking time to measure and take pictures. What a great site & members. After seeing your picture I remembered and found the rubber plug is exactly like yours #4802102. Now I will have to find another one. Thanks. George

The plugs in my 69 were rubber.

These appear to be rubber reproductions.  I don't know how they fit/look compared to originals but I found them by googling the number http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/store/product/20569/Rubber-body-plugs-correct-pair/

George, sorry I missed your request earlier but Mike did a great job!
To have a clear pic of what the plug looks like here is one of our originals off our 68. The plugs are still available from GM but now have a different part # so not sure how they are but would suspect there is no part # embossed anymore but not sure. Wonder how heartbeat has them with the part # unless they are from GM?
