Ed,

I appreciate you taking the time.  Looks like I'll be picking up another of those springs.

Baby steps.   ;D

Cheers,
Jon

Restoration / 1967 L30/M35 combo - should I have two carb return springs?
« on: October 09, 2016, 03:17:20 AM »
Howdy all,

Trying to reassemble my car that I didn't disassemble.  It's a 67 L30/M35.

In the AIM, UPC 6/D2 shows the one spring running from the coil to the 2 barrel carb for the 327/210.

UPC M35/A14.5 shows the "production spring" running from the coil bracket to the carb, and another spring running from the kickdown rod to the spark plug retaining tower. That has a specific part number for the L30 version of the spring. I cannot find the production spring by doing a part number search on the Google machine.

So, should I have two springs, and if so, should I just use two of the 390425 part numbers since the "production spring" doesn't appear to be for sale anywhere?

Cheers,
Jon
