the information I have gathered over the last few months on this vehicle is hopefully correct.
Yes on the build sheet it has option D91 and has the option Z21. It was, well I am meant to believe it was just a 327 2 speed vert.

Yeah mate it's a 68
I have looked on this CRG info but I can't see it being a D96 stripe.

Have been trying on the net an image of the D91 stripe and the fender pin sripe which comes with the RPO Z21 option but can not seem to find any thing. I am trying to get my car back to original.

I found the partial VIN just under the air intake - wipers. Yep it is an 8 and the rest of the numbers match.Just have to take a squiz under that dodgy tag to see what the go is..

Definatatly a dodgy then by looking at your originals above.looks like I will have to pull the dash out and see what is really behind there.

Sorry Kurt, the stamp is located on the (your) drivers side dash.The car is over here is Oz.

Thanks for the replies. A yarn means a chat..the car is located in Aust. I may have to pull the whole dash out to take a better look.

Gday gents,
This is the VIN on my 68 convertible
As you can see there seems to be a B stamped where the 8 should be..is this common ? or is there something sinister going on here.

The pan is that 350 shape so that's good.I looked up that town and it is near Detroit ?
Here is a better look at that other tranny number which is stamped up front on your drivers side near the block.

Thanks Kurt,so I its a 73 400 block 2 bolt.
Here is a closer number of the tranny and I put another coupla pics in ..there is another number on bottom of tranny its pretty hard to see and also the number on the front of the motor..I seem to have a problem with this one.

I think it is a 73 400 block ?? Not sure of the numbers on tranny - supposed to be a TH350

Hope this comes through..the old girl has not got all the numbers matching in fact they seem to be all over the joint..ha I have bought a couple of parts from over there the quality wasn't too bad.Who do you think are the best people/company to get new parts from? ?
