So I was in an auto body class (now in automotive) and I the back of class my teacher has a 1969 RS/SS Z28 deluxe interior, rosewood wheel car. The car was used as a racer, but the only thing done was to remove the engine, trans and tires(all saved, still has them) and replaced with a big block and manual for racing. I offered him a lot of cash but he wont sell. This is one of those "Im going to restore someday". Just thought you might like to take a look at what Im drooliing on.

Jesus christ. some of you guys have the best freakin vision I have ever heard of. I could barely see the vin, how did you notice the bolts on the mount was different(I see it now that you pointed it out). And Really how the hell did you see the electric fuel pump. damn you guys are good. I read a lot of stuff and "think" I know something about Camaros, but I would NOT enter a game of who knows more.
Just another reason I read forums.

OK, so the first car that I was outbid on, the bid was retracted.... 
So now Im on the block for it again.. I called the second guy and he sold his Camaro to someone else because I cant buy both. So Now Im just pissed.
Charley, I went back and really studied those pics. Shit there is alot of bubbling. On the bright side Im a disabled vet going to school for automotive, so I have time, lots of time... And hopefully by the end of the courses it will be a pristine beauty, thats if I still have to get it. Any body have a shit load of patch panels for cheap haha just kidding.

What about this one? I just found this one after I was outbid on the first. Its another 68 RS, 350, bench seat and again no heater or a/c(also has bumperettes) Yes I saw the tow hook LOL. Does anyone recognize the pin striping? What was that on. Other than the white book, is there a good book that explains everything that came on Camaros? It has the hood two engines(including original) willwood front disk kit, original and rally rims and a rear spoiler. Tell me everything you see...

Ahhh Charley you suck. Just kidding.. I think you are right. I had visions of driving another 68 and was blinded. Oh well. I'm at 14k but I doubt that'll win. I'm not stuck with getting a Hawaii car, just that I could hop over there easy and its harder and expensive to fly to the main land. Plus you can't trust anyone nowadays... If I find a really good deal I'd go get it....

Did RS's ever come from the factory without rocker moldings? Also the horn capl says camaro and no grill rs. But ive seen other rs' s with different horn caps. All paper work and protecto plate comes with it. I just wish he saved that engine.

Hi, I am looking at buying another camaro. What do you estimate the cost of a one owner 1968 RS to be. It has all original everthing except the 327 is now a crate 350. P/W, Power glide, RS, buckets w/ console, tilt and p/S. Its in good condition and a relatively rust free CA car. Thanks in advance
