Pegatanke 2 part epoxy is another STRONG epoxy.  Hands down, stronger than JB weld.

Restoration / Re: 67 Pace Car Door Decal install advice needed
« on: May 23, 2023, 09:31:11 PM »
Best if you can get another set of hands when installing a large decal.

Get a spray bottle of soapy solution, one of those 3 x 4 plastic squeegee's ($4 off Amazon), a roll of 1/2 tape and micro fiber cloth.

Measure the placement of the decal and use the tape as your reference guide, one strip along the bottom and another to the right side.  Something like the letter "L".

The decal is sandwiched between a backing paper (the bottom) and the transfer paper (the top or outer).

Once you've cleaned the door really well, hold the decal long way (top to bottom) and start at a corner of the decal and slowly pull away from one another separating the backing paper from the transfer paper (the outer) while spraying the decal with the soapy solution. Basically you're going to be spraying as you pull.  This helps with the removal of the backing paper from the decal as well as the decal from sticking to itself if something was to happen such as wind.  The transfer (outer) paper remains with the decal.

Once you've got the backing paper off, spray the entire door with a copious amount of the soapy solution as well as the decal once again.  Use your second set of hands to help rotate the decal and place it on the door.  I can't express this enough..don't be afraid of using your soapy solution on the door and decal.  This helps with sliding the decal into it's correct position.

Once positioned to your liking, hold onto the decal and start working the solution out using the squeegee and micro fiber towel. As the solution is squeegeed out the decal will begin to stick to the door.  After all the soapy solution has been worked out you will be able to pull (slowly) the transfer paper off.  Blot dry and your done.

Just be patient, it's not that hard.

Restoration / Re: Upper A-arm Splash Shields

Garbage. Why did you buy them?
Sauron327,

What's your go-to source and would you kindly share who you use when replacing these splash shields.  It's apparent that what everyone else is using seems to not be totally correct to specs, yet you're stating "cake walk on repops", "repops are accurate" and you "would not waste your time today (making) as others are making quality repros".

Thanks

There should be a “X” code behind the back seat usually on the passenger side of the car.
Should or could...but not always.

Try U-ship, truck haulers bid on the transport.  You put in the pick up to drop location, date/time, description, open or closed trailer.  Haulers want to fill their truck, don't want to haul empty. I've used for a car, motorcycle and yes a 12 bolt rear too.  You can also read the haulers reviews

All 3 pictures from those companies appear to be the same generic picture. I doubt that picture is of a repop intake, as it has the brake booster fitting, and heater hose fitting with what looks like coolant pitting, and it also looks like bolt head wear marks on drivers side front flange.
I would like to see 1 in person as I bet there are differences in the casting or finish.
My thoughts too.  Often will run a generic ad posting a pic of an original. Then when it arrives at your feet it looks nothing like the pic.

Without flipping to view under the pan, I bet you'll notice a huge difference between the two when side-by-side.

Looks like I jumped the gun... Repop 3932472 will not be ready until end of Dec. 2020.
Appear to be available now from jegs, C.I. and O.E.R.

Seems the difference would be the date under the pan

Discovered this on Apple Auctioneering from the U.S. Marshals.

https://appletowing.hibid.com/lot/56824116/1969-chevrolet-camaro/?q=&ref=catalog

Thought it'd be of some interest.  Claims to be a '69 COPO 9N635549.  I believe was last sold at Barrett-Jackson (AZ) in 2017 for $155K

https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1969-CHEVROLET-CAMARO-COPO--201487

Does anyone know more about this car ?
