I was wondering if anyone would know why I can not get to site on my Android phone (Pixel 6 Pro) my android tablet and my Kindle Fire. I can hit the landing page no issues, but as soon as I click on forums i get the forbidden message talking about page no being secure with bad certificates. Any idea?

The problem is the Camaros.org pages are loaded insecurely. Used to be that using a security certificate was optional and usually only done on sites processing credit cards. Now it is required by all browsers. Each mobile device, and phone handles non-secure pages in various ways, but they get tighter all the time.

If you look at the address of these pages they start with http:// (unsecure) when they need to start with https:// .

This site was originally built when that didn't matter as much, but unless you allow the unsecure pages on your device (if it's possible) the pages won't load properly.

On a large old site it is a lot of work to fix but it can be done.

there is a metal and rubber shield that gets mounted on the front driver side flange that protects the linkage under the hood at the lower firewall.  Most of these got tossed the first time the trans was pulled.  Again, some will claim their NOS shield fits most 67s Chevy's, but the Camaro had a specific one.  This is also in the AIM under UPC M35 Sheet A19.  I have pics if you need them.

I'll be putting the original 327 and Powerglide back in my 67 after their rebuilds.

Looking at the AIM page you referenced (UPC M35 Sheet A19 - Thanks!) I don't see a part number for the entire assembly, but rather three part numbers:
3901359 = Extension (rubber piece)
3901358 = Shield (Metal)
9985029 = Staples (qty 5)

Is there an overall part number for the assembly? I searched my regular sources for restoration parts and have only found

gm # 3904595 which is a little different.

If you haven't done so, add the part number to your saved searches on eBay, and it will notify you every time a new one is added to the list. Keep looking, and you're liable to find one fairly quickly. Or contact Bill Mock mockauto.com), he probably has more than several ready to go in stock in your date range. Lifetime warranty, rebuilt properly. Check out his website -

I do have a saved search on eBay. I'll check out Mock Auto too.

Has anyone had experience with the ebay seller Hart Bros Core Co.? (hartbroscoreco) they seem very active on Water Pumps and have one that might work. They describe their rebuilds the same way Mock Auto does with total rebuild.

I've got an early 608 with no date at all I pulled it out the other day.

They must have built 608 for long time and at two factory's. Would no date mean extra for over the counter parts?

The 608 is a '68 and prior "short" pump, it won't be good for a '69 and later "long" pump applcation. Obviously this one is an OTC replacement pump - also probably a rebuilt one, as it has the multiple application hole pattern on the snout. OE's were 4 bolt holes, small pattern for the '68 and earlier, larger pattern for the '69 and later -

Interesting, now I knew it was an over the counter rebuild since I installed it myself to replace the original back when the car was my daily driver.

But I hadn't realized the original 608's couldn't have a 69 build date.

Thanks @z28z11 yes I saw the B-10-7 pump and considered it but if I'm going to go to the extreme to get a date coded pump might as well find one that could have actually been on the engine when assembled.

Yes, I'll probably rebuild it.  If I do find one with the perfect date code I'll have a backup, or maybe someone with a '69 might want it.

Thanks @firstgenaddict, so this water pump must be a Flint style 3782608 without the ribs. It's dated November 19, 68. I installed that water pump in the early 80's in the driveway of a really nice house on East Parkway in Memphis when the old one sprang a leak.

I'm not sure how to identify a Flint built water pump. There are a lot of 3782608 Tonawanda built water pumps on eBay but not Flint.

Ideally I'd want a Flint 3782608 dated sometime in January or first few days of February 1967.

It's not a really big deal since water pumps were always disposable item back when the car was my daily driver, but I'm going to the trouble to rebuild the original engine and everything else is original and date correct.

I see this topic is old but trying to find a correct jack for the
1967 LOS 02B Sport Coupe

I read through the whole thread and was convinced that all of the LOS cars had square shaft jacks, but then the final list from @KurtS included a LOS 10B car with a trapezoid shaft. Was that a misprint or is this issue not settled?

During the 20 years my 67 was a daily driver I carried a compact scissor jack, used it many times.

Was always afraid of bumper jacks, although used them many times back in the day.

My 02B 67 with manual drum brakes has the bent bale.

I believe it's original to the car but couldn't swear to it since I've only had the car since 1975.

Just for more data, here is a pic of the padding sleeve from my 67 LOS car before tank was removed for the first time. There was a bit of dried tape left covering the middle of the sleeve.

Restoration / New Fuel Sender Unit, hose cushion detail.

I have to replace the fuel sender unit in the gas tank since it wouldn't pickup gas and the fuel gauge wasn't working.

The replacement I got from Classic looks very close. The only detail I'm wondering about is the piece of soft hose that cushioned the hard fuel line where it passed under the tank strap.

See the pictures, the soft hose is the texture of water pipe insulation and is in amazingly good shape after 53 years. There were slight remnants of tape that apparently held it in place.

At first I thought I'd replace it with a section of fuel hose, but after cleanup, it looks like I can just reuse this piece with the new unit.

What do you say
