Wow, looked great in all black!  I saw it get put together at Camaro Specialties, turned out very well.  It only had a restamped trans in it when we assembled it.

Your door hinges are worn out.  I start there with every project before replacing sheet metal.  Rebuild hinges and align doors to observe your gaps before cutting any metal.

General Discussion / Re: 67 Subframe differences

Will be the same, however there are differences between early and late ‘67 frames.  The most relevant question is what is the build date of the car and or frame vs the replacement.  For example there is a notch in the frame for the larger balancer in later frames that early cars did not have, as well as the front frame horn holes.

That’s the problem, there is no tag and I believe it’s just a plain Jane which someone threw a few SS pieces on to sell.  I just don’t want to give the owner misleading info in case there was a chance it came equipped so.  Luckily he’s accepted that’s most likely the case.

Could a 67 ss come with a Saginaw then?

General Discussion / 4 speed with air
« on: August 11, 2021, 11:47:53 PM »
A friend of mine has a 67 convertible with air.  He thinks it was a four speed, but does not have holes for speedo cable and clips.  Another person says because of AC it would not have Speedo cable in usual Muncie location behind distributor.  Is that correct?  Anyone have a car by which they car verify?

Restoration / Re: Fairchild Latex seals

Not sure if they are actually latex.  I have the prototype door seals on my 68 for ten years now.  Very soft hollow mold.  Nice not having to slam doors.  I don’t think mine have metal ends, but I don’t remember.

Check out blueprint engines.  There are a couple YouTube videos covering their operations, quite impressive facilities and options.

Any reference material out there in regards to a template for cutting out for the cocktail shakers?  Working on putting together a 69 pace car.  Original mat missing.

Wow, check out that rag joint extension someone came up with!  Little back yard engineering at it’s finest.

Wow I can’t stand the camaro script on the fenders!  How do you get that wrong?

General Discussion / Re: 69 Body Sag

Has any work been done on the front end?  Front springs can break, plus if not installed properly, can set the vehicle uneven.  I recommend removing the front springs and check both and install so that end of spring is in pocket in subframe.

Didn't 69 production run into november of 69, and isn't that a late vin number?
