Minneapolis CL ad has an MO block for sale in Shoreview with other engine parts

Originality / Original RS Z Paint

I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. I was removing the "war" paint from my car and found the original strippes were under the candy apple red the car was painted when it was a drag car. I also included a couple of pics of the firewall to show the original overspray and the holes for the RS and ZL2 options. Note the hole for the roll cage that was cut out with a torch. The car was butchered through its life, having the inner door panels, inner quarter panel, and rear packing tray cut out. I also included a picture of the leaf springs. I have read that few Z's did come from the factory with 5 leaf spring in the rear. I do not know if these are the original as a ford 9" is now installed. Any thoughts would be welcome if you believe they are original or not, and would help me piece the car back the way it originally was.

I bought this block to put into my Z but wouldn't mine finding the original car it goes to. If I do not find the car it belongs to I will use it. So if anyone knows this car let me know. Block casting date is B 17 9, I know this is early for a car with a 19N636736 SN. But that is what is stamped on the oil filter boss clear as day. Assembly date stamp is 412, I'm sure it has been decked at some point in its life as it has been bored 0.030.
