General Discussion / 327 cast iron intake manifold

Need some help, I took my quadrajet off and I have the manifold with the exhaust channel that warms the carb. I was told to put the thin metal gasket on the manifold and then the regular gasket then the carb. Or do I need a gasket, metal, gasket?  I did buy the foil inpregnated gasket the kit came with just a paper one and I remember they used to burn out in the thin corner areas. Any help would be appreciated.

General Discussion / 67 door hinge repair

I need to change the detent rollers on both doors and the other bushings could stand to be changed to. Has anyone attempted to do this without pulling the doors maybe just using a jack to hold to the door in place and do them one by one? If so should I pull each hinge or can it be done while in place. I know removing it would probably be easier but I don't have much help. I found kits on Heartbeat and Classic Muscle what they sell has the detent roller pin being drilled and tapped is this the only one out there or is there any original style pins available. Or any other suggestions you experts would have for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

General Discussion / Headlights dim

Just bought a 67 rs and the headlights sim dim to me. They are t5 seal beams also have t5's on my 62 caddy and they are dim also. Should I switch to a newer seal beam or could it be something else? I appreciate any advice. Thanks
