Steve I couldn't agree more, since we're all crazy about what the bolt head markings are on any fastener why isn't the washers being done up right??There were 116 '69s built with CE1. There were 37,773 RS built with them.
No one much cares about head light washers.
I respectfully disagree. I may be one of the 37,773 RS owners factory equipped with the CE1, but I took some effort to restore mine and make sure it is correct. Came pretty close to reproducing the valve, even to contacting GM for the licensing routine and securing the prints for the valve, only to have someone beat me to it when I couldn't afford the mold charges. (about $20K then, in the early-mid 90's). If a documented CE1 non-RS car shows up, it's still a rarity no matter what option you prefer. I vote for cool -
Regards,
Steve
I used the first set you posted above Danzo on my white 69Z, with a reproduction front spoiler. The kit works fine, but I thought some of the holes on the spoiler were not spot on. I seemed a couple so everything would fit nice.
Looked good for about 4 months, when I hit my first high curb in a parking lot...lol
I got it tweaked back where it is suppose to go, and have grazed a few more things since, (steep drive ways). Good thing the reproduction spoilers are only $20.
Ah, all the technical process questions!Wont we have to stir clockwise above the equator?
1. Take chipped 99cent supermarket ceramic mug.
2. Add 2 heaped teaspoons of Nescafé Blend 43 granules to 1/2 cup boiling Aussie rainwater.
3. Dozen stirs counter-clockwise using slightly tarnished teaspoon.
4. Leave to cool while doing yard work, then pour into small Zip-Lok bag.
5. Add one $8 repro check valve from John's Classic Cars and seal bag.
6. Check until happy with color and remove.

6a. Wife asks what is that mess in the bag on the counter? and you remember the experiment, remove valve and wish you'd caught it sooner.
