How does N000001 have a second week of September build with body 860 when N000013 has a second week of May build date and body 013

Did they restart the numbering back to zero at some point for actual production cars?

So based on the build date could 013 be the oldest known car?

Kurts- After discussing with the owner those were decoded from the Vin and by inspection

William- What can you tell me about N100001 I have found body 001 with Vin 016 that sold at the Barrett Jackson sale in 2007 but no lower production cars.

Also my feeling is that Vin 013 with body 013 would be more important than body 001 especially since Norwood was more consistent with their bodies and supposedly 2000 or so cars were made there before LA came on line...Anyone disagree?

The first photo is a tag from the right door panel, the second shows the car has been repainted. Unfortunately the cowl tag picture didnt turn out an I have not made it back to the car yet.

So does the market show these have any additional value or should be restored in any different way?

Any documentation or information available, such as what was the first convertible VIN?
