Kris, you made some great points in the area of "judging".
On the TC site, there's been a fair bit of heated discussion on this very topic, as many feel that it isn't being done in an effective/objective manner.
I remember going to one car event, wherein you had to put you own car # on the voting slip. I think this was to try and curb the "club" voting that takes place at show and shines, thus squewing the system.
And if down yer way this winter, we'll have to quaf a few cool ones, eh?

The actual wiring connections are only in the Delco service manuals for the hardware you have. What are the actual part numbers on the paper tags of your various peices?

Up here, I see the events closing a lot earlier now...in the area of 3-3:30. Many will stay until the 50/50 draw then leave.
One think I think I will definately not do... and that is what happened at the last S&S that I attended. They called all the winners with their cars to line up, took pics and handed out the awards. To my way of thinking it was like rubbing your noses in that you didn't qualify... and some of the ones that they lined up, were not a good as some of the ones still left out of this activity. Least that's how it felt to me....IMHO

I've been approached by a couple of antique people who have indicated some interest in setting up a couple of tents @ a car event. I don't think that they are car orientated in their inventory...would you invite them, or do you think this might be a bit "tacky"?

I've read with interest about the '69 multi-plex set up, but would like to know about the 67/68 set up.
At present, I have an am/fm radio, and a multi-plex that could hang under the dash, with a shroud that covers the hangers. In addition to this, I have an 8-track orig to the 68 year(on the floor), and am wondering if all this can be hooked up, without any inline switches.
I actually don't have the multi-plex installed, and wondering if it's worth the effort to do so? I already have a GM tissue dispenser under there, and a bazooka control for the woofer in the trunk as well. In other words, the multi-plex would not have sufficient room to fit. So, selling the plex, I guess would be an option, but not too sure of it's worth?
What would you do? Get rid of the dispenser, and add the plex...or leave as is, and sell it? I think I'd have a fight on my hands with my wife on this!
Any info/input as to the multi-plex of these above mentioned years would be a help.

Truly an international car, eh? Engineered in Australia, designed in the USA, and built in Canada. 
I think if they can keep both the price down and the weight as well... the car will sell. As part of the design team, I would have hated to have made final the final decision of... Yep... that's what she's gonna look like. You can't please everyone, and I think they did a superb job of the front. The side looks a little... chunky, and the rear still needs something ... more? See what I mean? Ya can't please everybody! Overall, it looks as good as the Stang, and will prob handle better as they did in the past. IMHO

Just found out about these Kesley tires, and they seem to fit the bill for me... smooth tread, and the vintage look..i think that they are put out by Goodyear?
Anyway, thought to share... they are being sold for $185 a tire which about $60 over what I could get TA's for in this area.
Anyboy have any experience or info on these tires?

On the car at present, I have Firestones, F-70's, 2 ply, 14 inchers. Got them from...can you believe a really old guy at a garage sale? Was driving the Cam at the time, and he said that he had a set of brand new ones, in the basement, and never seen seen the light of day. Then he went on that he's make me a deal if I promised to put them on the Cam, and not jsut flip them.
Anyway, I jumped at the chance. When he brought them out I saw that the tires still had the knubbies and paper ID on the tread...and I got all four for $80. He was happy..I was too.
But alas, time is taking its toll on the the rubber, even though I have given them tender care...guys at a meet will look at these tires and shake their heads. Mind you, going over the local drawbridge is kinda fun with them on!
So, I would like to get a new set, that have the summer treads... if they are still out there?
As for the Cam... will post pic of the car when I join photo bucket and figure out just how to do it.

Good point Gary! I'm from S. Ontario, and it can get hot here as well. Personally, I won't go to a hard top show... they really heat up. Nothing beats shade!
One point no one has brought up, and I think it could cost bucks?... aand that is to provide some sort of music...either a live band or a DJ.
Do you guys/gals think that this is important?
