Originality / Re: Corvette Bronze Color Production 1968:
« on: July 12, 2016, 03:10:14 PM »
There were 13,488 1968 Camaros produced in "OO" Corvette Bronze.

Does the book have numbers for O2?

Or better yet big blocks with a/c?

Thank you for posting this.  What a great reference to acquire.

I thought I'd post this.  It's not mine and I have no interest in it.  I've never even met or talked to the owner.  It does look mostly untouched original, but possibly more rusty than described.

Originality / Re: Shifter rebuild
« on: February 01, 2015, 08:14:06 PM »
Rick, I recently had the Muncie shifter for my 66 Chevelle rebuilt by Old Chevy Ray out of Oklahoma. Very nice and knowledgeable guy to deal with. I was very pleased, it shifts through the gears smooth!
Here is what he advertises you will get.

"Restored-Recolored by Chevrolet Ray in Oklahoma & has been Mounted on a Muncie 4 speed Transmission, Adjusted, Checked for Proper Shift Action (Run thru Gears). Shifter Gate, Linkage Rods Assembly Restored with reference to the Chevrolet Assembly Manual Pages & Chevrolet Shop Manuals & MY GREY MATTER". OLD TIMER ChevyRay in Ok. USA. Call 405 262 4432 chevyray@cox.net

You can see before and after pictures of my shifter (link below) on my 66 build thread over at Team Chevelle. Hope this helps.

I grew up in El Reno.  "Chevrolet Ray's" son and I use to ride bikes (and later tinker with cars) together.  I've been to his house many times.  He rebuilt the engine in my maroon car back in 1990.  He is retired but has been going to swap meets, rebuilding carburetors, and shifters for as long as I've known him.  If you send him your stuff I can promise you it will look as good as new when you get it back.

Thanks Mark.
Page 11 of that report mentions a building occupied by
Feemster Chevrolet.
Guess I now know an address for the dealership.
Thanks!

What's the dealer number and zone number?

Zone 17, Dealer Number 221.

Paul

That's right Paul.  The NCRS report says zone 17, dealer 221.  I think I found zone 17 to be Florida, so I'm guessing the Arkansas zone number has changed since 1968.

Anyone ever try to get info out of the Arkansas DMV?

Anyone know anything about Feemster Chevrolet in Siloam Springs Arkansas?

That is were my NCRS report leads me.

I googled the name and came up with the owner of the dealership, but he is deceased now.

Second, question.  It looks like Arkansas DMV won't release old vehicle records.  Anyone have any insight into this?

Thanks.

I‘m starting to wonder if all Y-1 cars were rally sports.  Haha.

General Discussion / Re: Another Tire Question
« on: March 28, 2014, 02:45:08 AM »
Not sure how it matches up to stock, but I've run 215 65 R15 on front and like the look.     Could do 225 65 R15 up front also.
I think 255 60 and 245 60 both look good in back.  I like running the 65 series up front because it gives you a tire as tall as the rear without a chance of rubbing.
Just depends on how much of the wheel well you want filled.  Just my opinion.  Hope it helps.
