Restoration / Re: How's it look to you

I tryed for a 69Z complete except the motor sitting under some pine trees for years checking in to hear (i am going to fix it up one day). Rust got it and then a tree on it later. Went by later and it and several other cars were gone. Probably all crushed.

My thoughts are rust and body damage, a 69 convertable with legal tags and title has considerable value but 20k worth of body work would be my big factor. I know where one is about the same shape near me left in an estate but they seem to think they have the holy grail of camaros.

Started 12B or second week of December 1968 Norwood cars. LA cars never got them.

At least they made it easy listing the VIN and the trim tag date in the ad. Seems like a large operation like that would red flag something that shows one of the tags does not go with the car.

the valve covers might be correct, installed on the wrong sides, pcv should be drivers side breather on the pass side.

Don,t feel bad old man, my son told me to buy Amazon and Facebook , I smiled and told him good luck. I also sold a 67 435 hp corvette for $1,700 bucks during the gas crisis.

The piece near the hood latch can be glued back on but first time you forget about it being glued it is back in you hand again.

It has been a long time since I did it, I may have rotated the trans when I did it.  It would be interesting to see a post after it is done. I did not see a reply by Mike on the other thread.

You can remove the side cover with the trans in the car and replace the seals. Not bad on a lift, but can be done with jackstands

Not a cross ram owner but I agree the engine started and ran very well. I also found JM,s report very interesting, most I see posted do not show all the pages. A little surprised the report lists the vin for the NOM incorrectly showing an N where it should be an L. My plan is to get both my 69,s certified by JM someday.
