Neither of my 2 Van Nuys 69's had undercoating on the floor pans/tunnel area. Only in the rear wheel wells.

I have an 02A built VanNuys Z28 with 77,000 miles that is very original, was sold new at Washburn Chev in Santa Barbara and lived pretty much all its life in California or Colorado not exposed to harsh elements.. The original rear leaf springs appear to be natural steel. I dont see any gas tank blackout unless that was a 67-68 thing.
My gas tank is the original and had the build sheet on top of it. It also looks like a brand new tank but its definately the original and is stamped 25 69 with the backwards 5. Car still retains its original factory paint hood and deck striping.
Previous owner changed out the original hood for a cowl induction hood but the stripes on the cowl panel and front upper valance are original.

Stampings all look legit.  WS was a fake. Cowl tag is hard to tell with pics provided.

He replied in another post in 2009 about 1969 decklid holes. Heres what he posted

I have an 03E car that has both sets of holes in the deck lid.

I spoke with the original owner who purchased the car from dealer and the spoiler package (D80) was installed at the factory, not the dealership.

That car was once in Arizona. Its an 09B tag so was built at Van Nuys Sept 1968. Looks fine. Its been through a couple of Mecum auctions over the years. Looks like it has POP. Not sure what happened, in the pics at Mecum 2013 it had the priginal master and brake booster. At Alexander in 2024 is has some chinese repo master and booster.

RS was added. No vacuum tank, hoses, headlight squirters. Sticker says 72-72 but tag says 72-B.

If you read McNeishs report alot of things needed to be corrected. The grill is a repop out of the box and put on the car.
Then the seller lists all the things he bought and most all are repop parts and he thinks that satisfies the corrections that Jerry mentioned. One in particular is the NAPA replacement water pump. It could be a nice car with some money spent on actually correcting the items.
I guess some people just like the look and dont care about the details. The engine block pad was decked so no numbers remain except for the partial VIN down by the filter. The buyer will have a hard time getting his money out of it when the time comes. You could have bought 2 really nice documented by MacNeish 69 Z28's for the price this went for. Seller did a great job with pictures and hyping up the car.

That tag is legit. Car was originally an X11 small block Azure Turquoise car that someone painted orange and add the 427 engine.
I dont think hes trying to advertise it as something it isnt.

Agreed, restamped for sure. The 4-6-7 are not factory along with the date stamping 8-G

We are talking about 1969 Camaro small block fan shrouds (3938615)

3893812 is 67-68, so I cant comment on those.  :)

There are numbers after the part numbers on the small block shrouds. Ihave seen 1 and 2 used. I was always under the impression that was a mold number sequence.

1 was the first mold so early cars would have that followed by 2 and so on. I dont know if this is true as I can only speak on my own experience with what I have seen.

Even if you found a used original (that was good or you could have repaired), that would be better than any chinese aftermarket one.

Your 69 L48 would have come with a 3927170 pump or 3953692 pump.
