Thanks for the suggestions.  As I said, I'm really hesitatnt to drill a hole in this thing.  I've attached a picture so everybody can see the manifold I'm working with.  I'm thinking about trying to tap vaccuum from the carbs.  I'll be running 2 Holleys with a mild cam so maybe might have enough vaccuum????

Mild Modifications / Re: Power BRAKE Booster - not Power Steering
« on: July 25, 2006, 02:18:39 PM »
Thanks Rich/John. Sincerely appreciate your responses and help. Is there any alternative other than putting a fitting on this thing? If at all possible, I'd really like to avoid doing that..........  Thanks again.

Mild Modifications / Power BRAKE Booster - not Power Steering
« on: July 24, 2006, 08:02:00 PM »
Busy freakin day at work.  It's the hose running from the power brake booster to the intake manifold.  The Crossram intake manifold doesn't have a recepticle for the hose so what the heck do I do with it???  Sorry, and thanks............

Mild Modifications / Power STeering Power Booster hose???

I'm installing an Edelbrock Crossram manifold on the 350 in my '68 Camaro.  The power steering power booster has a 1/2 or 5/8 hose that runs to the intake manifold.  There's no provision for it on the Crossram manifold.  What the heck do I do with it???  Thanks much.............

Am installing an Edelbrock Crossram intake on my '68 Camaro.  There's a 1/2 or 5/8 inch hose running from the power booster to the top of the original intake manifold but there no provision for this line on the Croosram.  What should I do with it???  Thanks guys (and gals)................

Mild Modifications / Fixing Timing 180 Out
« on: May 31, 2006, 08:19:42 PM »
Dumb question.  If my timing is 180 out, can I correct by simply moving the spark plug wires around 180???  I can't think of why I might need to actually pull out the dist and turn it 180..............  Thanks.............

So, thanks everybody.  DUMB!!! question.  Can I just move the spark plug wires 180 or is there some reason I actually need to pull the dist out and rotate 180???  I know, I know.  Thanks again............

Mild Modifications / Timing 180 out???
« on: May 30, 2006, 06:59:21 PM »
I recently pulled the dist to change intake manifold. Put back after and timed everything to the mark. But engine won't start and backfires. Is it possible that I'm getting spark at the top of the exhaust stroke rather than the top of the intake stroke? Thought I'd ask before I go home from work and change everything 180 degrees.  Thanks..........

Mild Modifications / 350 Won't Start???
« on: May 30, 2006, 05:03:14 PM »
Either I'm losin my mind or gettin old. Put a new intake manifold and carbs on my 350, now it backfires through the carbs and the exhaust (not at the same time???). I timed to 8 BTDC as before the changes (nice cam), double checked firing order 18436572, number 1 being front of engine, driver's side. What the heck am I missing???  Thanks...............

Mild Modifications / Edelbrock XC8 - HELP???
« on: May 28, 2006, 01:04:44 PM »
I'm going crazy with this. I put an old XC8 CrossRam manifold on the 350 in my '68 Camaro. Be damned if I can figure out how to get the gas pedal linked up. Edelbrock was no help at all!!!  Anyone with any ideas or has done before?  There has to be a solution.  Thanks much.............
