Thanks for the info. I've started looking into finding an appraiser.

 The guys in my small town are all "hotrodders", and they don't look at cars the way i do. The first thing they want to do is to make an "SS" out of the cars( they are all chevy guys). Out of all the "old" car-owners I know, I think I'm the only one that keeps the car allmost to original specs.

These guys can make a good looking car, but if you guys would see that they start with, it would blow your mind at what the car be if they would just restore it.

How does one find out what his car is worth? I have a 67 standard Conv., but the car has no documents, build sheet, protect-o-plate, or any of the stuff you guys talk about having. But, i do know the town it was bought, and i know I'm the 4th person to own it. It was a basket case when i got it, and i've done all work to it. it took ten years to finally finish it, cause of raising 3 children and not having the money to finish it in a timely manner. Infact it hung on the walls of my shop for 4 years before i started putting it together. This fall i drove it to "cruse the coast" in Mississippi, and saw that my car looks just as good, if not better that 90% of all the cars (drivers) out there. It seems to be a "numbers-matching" camaro by looking at the manufacture dates of the parts used. and 90% of the 327 moter is original. How / where can i get it appraised?

allmost all of the hotrodders will find a standard camaro and just "clone" the outside of the car and show off what they did. you never see a standard camaro restored, it's allways a "SS" or "RS" or "Z28". but look closer and it's a clone, or one that is a clone just on the outside. i have a 67 conv., standard even with a col shift and i'm restoring it like it is. but i have upgraded some things.and one more thing the clone is as good as the depth of your pockets.

i went to rick's camaro web site and what they have listed as 67 327 template kit is actually a 68 327 template kit. guess they had a brain f**t.

i put duel exhaust on my 67 conv., and it fits w/ two mufflers in the rear seat area. the driveshaft tunnel will accept the two pipes if time and effort is used w/ no problems. i ordered the original style hangers, and the factory hanger locations are perfect for the new pipes. my camaro has the 327, so a slightly smaller dia. pipe was used, but from what i saw as the job was done, there is room for the pipes. and the stiffener can be bolted on place,(that was the tricky part about fitting the pipes, so they would not rattle on the stiffener). there are several camaros in my area and they all have duels run like this

67 327 had orange covers w/o holes in them had oil filler in front of the intake alt above the pwr steering pump no air heater on the blk air can

i put a 700r4 from TCI, and it's called a streetfighter. had to change the flexi-plate and torque converter(stock stall) bought a cross-member for the 700 and shortened the driveshaft. get a pre-83 tranny w/o the puter hook-up. use the same vacuum lines and tranny cooling lines. you will need a new dipstick and tube. hook a couple of toggle switches and it's ready to go. gives great gas milage and it hooks up when you stand on the peddle.

Restoration / correct location of fender emblems?

where can i find the correct location of the fender emblems (crossed flags, engine designation) on a 67 conv. std. I've seen examples of templets on various restoration books, but i can't find measurments to faburicate said templets. any comments/ advice as to where i could find any info?
