Well I took some pics but I can't post them since I pretty much suck at using computers.I know how to post them but they are to big and I don't know how to make the file size smaller.I can send them to someone or can someone explain how to shrink the file size on the pics.

Decoding/Numbers / 69 tach info
« on: September 03, 2006, 12:25:43 AM »
Hi ,I found a instrument panel cluster tag on the side of the unit.I am trying to find out what rpm range tach came with it.The tag reads
NQ  Cluster#6491991
      Stereo#6492573(M)W
Tach (followed by what looks like three letters I cannot make out) Maybe 8.12.
      AC made in USA
Also if anyone knows what stereo this might be?
When I got the car it was missing tach and console guages although the wiring harness for the guages is still there
Thanks for any help,Scott

Decoding/Numbers / Radiator Question ?
« on: July 12, 2006, 02:27:00 AM »
I have a 69 Z28 and it came with what appears to be a 67-68 radiator .It's an original Harrison radiator with a OD stamped on the right tank. From what I have read it should be CB.Any chance they kept using some OD radiators in 69 or somewhere along the line a previous owner found this radiator and stuck it in.Thanks, Scott

Decoding/Numbers / 69 Camaro 3932388 block

Hey guys, I have a 69 camaro it is just a plain jane LA built with AC car. The question is it has a 388 cast engine in it I have had this car for over18 years now and just had the engine rebuilt and realized the casting number. I never really paid any attention to it for I knew it was the original motor.Does anyone know anything about these blocks Some of the info from Colvins doesn't match up with what I got. First it's only a 2 bolt main cast date is B 22 9 front stamp is 19L527309   T0301HD Vin matches my car along with date car is third week of March build Sounds like these blocks were 4 bolts How rare are these blocks? Anyone know anything about them. How many were built? Thanks in advance, Scott

Restoration / 69 Z28 302 Replacement engine
« on: June 09, 2006, 12:39:01 AM »
Hey Guys Does any one know what is correct for a replacement engine? I found one for sale that has all the right parts not sure on the #s The block is a 010 cast date of B 5 70 stamped CE0A294 I know the 0 is for 1970 should that be a 9 for a 69 or do they just date for the year it was built? The heads are 3991492 has the 1178 crank pink rods 7708 balancer 472 intake correct valve covers windage tray Does this sound like it could be a correct engine for my Z28 or did they use correct blocks for the model year any help would be great thanks.Scott
