Thanks Jim and William,Please bare with me as I'm new at this and not very good yet at navigating this forum.
The cat at this point has been in storage and sitting since about 1983/84 so it's not in the best of shape, although the fellow that will be restoring it says it actually is in good condition. I'll try to post a couple pics though.
The deck stamp is E109 - the car is actually first week of June 69.
The heads are Dec 68 and Jan 69 - I'm not sure which head is the replacement and which head is the original.

I tried to copy and paste a pic but it just gives the path to iCloud pic storage - is that OK?

Originality / 041 heads

Hello all, I've had a 1969 Camaro Z28 RS Hugger orange black stripes and 720 interior since 1971! Has not run since about 1983/84.  I'm finally able to do the restoration. When I bought it off the car lot, I was told it was originally bought by a lady and she didn't like how it ran or how it handled so she traded it in and I happen to see the car and bought it. I did replace one head in the late 1970's ( can't remember why). it is a 041 head as is the other that came with the car. Some of the people in the restoration circle do not believe 041 heads were ever installed in the factory. I assume the auto parts store I bought the new head from back in the 70's ordered a matching 041 head. I have no reason to believe the original lady owner would change the heads or would the dealership.
I'm convinced the car came from the factory with 041 heads rather than 186 heads. Yes, the 041's have 202 valves.
What is your expert opinion?
I heard of a fellow that had 041 heads and had so many arguments trying to convince people they were original that he caved and replaced with 186's.
My car has a lot of intrigue but some of my circle think I should install 186's because they too believe 041's are not original - I believe they are and to add to the intrigue I am keeping the 041's. Thoughts?  Thanks, MelShell

I just registered and now I'm trying to navigate through the site and trying to figure out how to post a question - it shouldn't be this difficult but I need some guidance on how to do this. Can anyone do this? Thanks, MelShell
