Its a 69 Camaro (or 69 to 73? Nova) subframe.  Does the passenger side motor mount have a single bolt hole in the middle of the top of the mount (6 cylinder), or does it have a pair of bolt holes on the front and rear face of the mount where the motor mount bolt passes thru and no hole in the top face (8 cylinder)?

Wheres the control arm rebound bushings located, lower arm, front, lower arm rear, or on the frame?  Do the coil spring tags have tags on them?

Black, same color as the frame and the interior of the roof.

General Discussion / Re: Optional clock on 1969 Camaro?

Floor mounted, or console mounted clocks, RPO U35, were available in 67 and 68 from the factory only.  Obviously which one you got depended on if you ordered a console or not.

Clock was part of the U17 gauge package.  U17 obviously required a console to mount the gauges on.  You could order a clock without the U17 gauges.  If you ordered a tach you got a center mounted fuel gauge and could not get a clock.  Dealers may have installed a 68 console, or floor mounted clock (if you didn't have a console) if a buyer wanted one, but they were not available from the factory.

Originality / Re: Quadrajet - air cleaner "SPACER" originally used?
« on: October 07, 2007, 03:18:03 PM »
No spacer in the AIM only a gasket.  L34/55 and L78 all use the same base so it probably just an incorrectly repro'ed part.  Guess we need pictures of original BB air cleaners and the repro versions.

40k is less than half what a real L89 Pacecar is worth in No.2 (everyday driver) condition.  40K won't even get you a decent small block PC these days.

Maybe a half dozen or so L89 pacecars are known including the 2 "real" pacecars.  An L89 with 38K miles, original drivetrain and paperwork is certainly going to be in the 100K+ range.  The better the body condition the more it worth, conversely if its a rust bucket it will be worth less but 100K is a good mid point price.

The guards are RPO V32 and they were available on any Camaro.  My PC has them on the rear and i originally had the V31 front bumper guards, but found an endura front bumper for cheap money a few years ago so those are up in the attic.  I think 911 was a later Dupont paint code for the equivalent of dover white.

« on: September 22, 2007, 12:55:11 PM »
Don't buy it to slap a coat of paint on it and think your going to get 70K for it either.  It will probably take you 40K worth of work to get a basket case back to no 2 condition, and the only way it will command any more than that at sale time is if it has the original drive train with paperwork or some other history. Otherwise its just a big block convertible that might even be considered as a clone and you won't get 40K for it.
