General Discussion / RPO Question
« on: March 06, 2008, 03:57:41 PM »
I am getting an Reproduction window sticker made for my 1969 350 SS.
Not trying to fool anyone, just would be fun to have at car shows.
The guy who makes them tells me that power brakes are included in the SS package and not a separate line item.
Anyone know if this is true ?
Thanks for your help.

General Discussion / Re: Bench test AM radio
« on: March 02, 2008, 01:29:59 PM »
Thanks everyone. I hope I can get it working, I have a Custom Autosound radio in now, but they changed the judging criteria at the Nationals this year and I need to put my AM back in or loose some points.

I want to bench test my 69' AM  radio. I'm a little confused on what plugs in where.I made made some jumpers from some spade connectors that will plug in to each connector. I'm not sure what is the speaker ground and which is the power ground. Can anyone tell me what each connector is for ?
Thanks for any help.

This one fits and is pretty close to the orig.
The "ears" are in the right direction

General Discussion / Re: Trying to verify 1968 SS L78 stripe delete

Doug asked me to post a shot of his trim tag. Is it possible that the dealer removed the stripe before it was delivered to the original owner ?
Would it just "buff off " ?

Here is some freeware I found to resize photos that is very easy to use. I use it whenever I post photos to the forums.

Just click on the "Download" link to the left, then scroll down to High Quality Photo Resizer and download and install.

Restoration / Re: Help Finding Part?

Dal,
You are correct, it is a small straight connector as it is shown on page 101 of the '69 AIM.
Here is a shot of mine, you can't see the connector but it is like the one in the AIM. I could not find anywhere to buy it repop and after about 9 months of searching I found an orig. one at  Calisle for $1.00. I know someone who found a hose at the auto parts store that matched pretty well and just cut the bottom off the 90 degree tube to make the connection.

Is a #1111489  -  8 H 21 (Aug 21st 1968 ) dated distributor too early for my 11D (4th week Nov. 1968 ) build car ?
I'm having allot of trouble finding a date correct one, and this is the closest I've found yet.
Thanks for any help.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 40725 AC fuel pump
« on: November 26, 2007, 12:24:36 PM »
My big question is does anyone know if the 40725 pump will fit and work on my 350/300 auto '69 car ?
It looks better than the aftermarket replacement one I have on now, with the correct AC logo and finish.
Thanks for any help.

I should have noted this is the set up for an auto trans car. A manual car would be different.
