Would like to see pictures.
Can you PM me your email address? Sorry it's taken a while to follow up, but we are replacing flooring in 4 rooms tomorrow and I got the job of moving all the furniture out before the real fun begins :)

Small block. Happy to send pictures, if your email address isn't in your profile, I'll PM you.
Bear in mind this is a project with old damage though.

Gary that is forever the problem, proving the intent to deceive deliberately. There will always be an excuse about how the seller came into ownership of the item, 'bought it at a swap meet' seems to be the standard fallback position. Only way I could see someone being found guilty of fraud is if they were either found in possession of restamped items and the matching equipment necessary to perform it, or actually in the process of so doing.

Kurt the VIN is 124378L322696 and the car is still painted CB, including the saddlebags and cowl. I'll email you pictures if you'd like them.

OK, thanks for the replies about the tag. Not sure if a deal can be worked out, seller asking almost US$10k local equivalent yet car is missing the front end sheetmetal and has old accident damage to driver side quarter/wheelhouse area. Waiting on confirmation of the drivetrain numbers, but car has good indicators of being a factory RS/SS, and agree that is a very nice color and the car would look very sharp if restored..... I'd love to buy it myself but too much on the go already  :(

Decoding/Numbers / 12E LOS 68 Camaro in Corvette Bronze

A friend is interested in a 68 coupe project for sale. It's a LOS car, tag date of 12E (1967) and is paint code O-O (Corvette Bronze) with 714 custom black interior. In checking out the numbers on the CRG exterior paint code table, I noted that this exterior color was added to the available colors in January 1968. Is it unusual to see a December 1967 car with this color not being 'officially' available yet, or could the factory have accepted the order knowing that the color was about to be added to the line-up, and 12E is right at the end of anticipated December production anyway?
Here's a picture of the tag for reference:

Yes he sold it Gary, but has a new project RS/Z known as "the Brooklyn Project" - there's a build thread over at TC.

Interesting differences. There was a recent thread over at yenko.net where a member posted a wanted ad for a '67 flat hood, and stated the edges were subtly different from the '68-'69 version. Wonder if this is what he was thinking of, or if there is another 67-specific difference?

Auction ended because there was an error in the listing......
Hmm. There's a lot of deliberate attempts to mislead on eBay but I wonder if this particular one was just the owner not knowing otherwise, and believing/repeating what they were told when buying the car themselves. And so it goes on if the next buyer doesn't know otherwise.

No doubt a typo on the full VIN.

I wish I had some pictures to post of mine back in the day, but sadly I only have the one used as my avatar.

Many seem to go for a similar grind to the factory specs but in a hydraulic cam, where's the fun in not having to adjust lash regularly?
To answer your question though, if it's the cars original block, it's an easy swap to replace the cam and lifters back to stock specs so I wouldn't see that as affecting originality (unless you're talking about show judging?) except the sound enjoyment! If it's a replacement block, well the originality has already taken a serious hit so engine internals matter not.
Many original DZ blocks have newer replacement internals (rods, pistons etc) but the cam is an obvious one as soon as you hear it running.

You can find Nos front fuzzies for around $200.00 for the pair , I have seen more than 1 pair at this price point ...
I'd buy every set I could find at that price!
