Title: hamill seat belt
Post by: crownroyal58 on August 26, 2011, 10:04:32 PM
i am presently having my seat belts restored, but i have a question about the shoulder belts and am asking for some help. my car only came with one shoulder belt and i am not sure if the fold on the belt (at the anchor that fastens to the roof) is the same on the left and right, or are they opposite? anyone have a good picture of this ?

thanks
mike

Mike,

The seatbelt folds on my '68Z face the headliner on both sides.

Would y'all tell me what you are talking about? I'm about to put my belts in and I want to get them right but I'm lost on this "fold"     thing.

I think they mean the fold/seam should be facing towards the H-Liner. In other words don't do it like I did...

Mike,

Both (R & L) seatbelt folds are on the inside, facing the headliner (opposite of Marty's photo) at the anchor end.

On the clip end, the folds both (R & L) face the center console (away from the headliner), or opposite of how they face on the anchor end.
