Title: A/C Heater control cable bracket
Post by: DanZ10 on November 17, 2010, 03:36:36 PM
The pot-metal heater control cable bracket on top of my '69 (with A/C) heater box has crumbled into pieces. I know GM used this same box on several car lines for years....anyone know of a replacement part number, or substitute number from another GM car that will fit the application?

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
Dan

I have a limited interchange book. It does not include that part. A salvage yard will have a better book, they may be able to help you.

One solution....fabricated from 16ga sheetmetal, glass beaded and parkerized.

Dan nice job. You did not say if you wanted to keep it original or not.

I would prefer to keep it original....but until I find a decent replacement, this will have to do. Thanks
