Hello. I need to find a air cleaner assembly for my 68 rs/ss 350/auto. Did other vehicles come with the same assembly? What could I use that would be correct for my car? I believe the top lid should be chrome but if I could find one from another vehicle I could have the top chromed.
Thanks

The lids are easy to find (black). They were used on several Chevy models through the '70's. The base is harder to find. I don't think anyone repops them, I could be wrong.

Same as SB SS nova's, SB SS chevelle's

Anyway to tell the bases apart from one another? Thanks

Thanks FGA. How about an Impala unit? Is it the same?

On '67 and '68, the snorkel points to the driver's side. In '69 it switched to the pass. side. The base only fits on the 4 bbl. one way. Also, automatics (like yours), has the thingy ma bob on the snorkel. Standards have a plain smooth snorkel.

My interchange book shows the 68 350 4bbl automatic air cleaner used across the Chevrolet line, but only for 1968.

Thanks Tom for the info. I just bought one from a seller that said it came off a 69 Impala but it looks like a 68 model. The snorkel is facing the drivers side. I'm hoping it is a 68 model. I don't have anything to reference off of though. I'm going to pick it up today an maybe I can get someone to post some detailed pics and dimensions for the base and lid.
