Title: 68 standard grill color
Post by: 68Zproject on October 30, 2008, 04:54:38 PM
I need to paint the black part on my Z grill.  There was a post a while back showing what parts where black, but I wondered what color black (ie: rattle can, gloss, etc.)?  Do you have to use a specific kind of paint for the plastic?

SEM #39143 (best), Krylon 1613 (has been changed to 51613 [sheen difference] ), or Fusion paint. Use of adhesion promotor or tie-coat is not necessary if already painted. if you have a spray gun -- PPG 9266 or SEM in quarts. If just the grill -- aerosol for convenience and you can use for interior components as well.
It would be best to paint bezels as well to maintain sheen consistency throughout grill components.

Yes, I'm just painting the part of my grill that is supposed to be black.  The rest was already painted the argent silver.  Thanks.
